Youth membership Instructions
We have finally settled on a way to do official youth memberships. Because of the way our membership site works it isn’t as straightforward as standard membership signups. The details of each option are below the instructions on how to sign up.
By joining The Locals as a Youth Member, you must be under 18 years old with your parent or legal guardian’s permission and you/they agree to have read, acknowledge, and accept the following documents:

After reading the options below and selecting which one you will be signing up for, you will need to either open the link in an incognito window OR you will need to copy the link, sign out of your Locals account, and then navigate to the copied link to make sure you can create a unique user for the new Youth Membership.
Signing up for a youth membership under your normal account will not result in a unique ID being created for the member in our system.
When signing up a youth member that does not have an email address or would prefer not to get the Locals Newsletter and other correspondence the email field can be filled with the Guardian’s email address with the addition of a “+” sign and the youth members first name
Example: GuardianEmail@EmailServer.com would become GuardianEmail+ChildName@EmailServer.com

Youth Deluxe Membership: $20
- Youth Membership + The Locals Member Scarf 2024*
- The Locals Member Keychain 2024*
- Access to Members Only section of Bums Bazaar (The Locals SG Store)
- Access to exclusive events, and meetups
- Subscription to The Locals SG Newsletter and Updates
- New Members: Generates a The Locals SG "Unique Member Number" and "Season Member Number"
- Previous Members: Preserves your The Locals SG "Season Member Number" order^
- Youth Members are not eligible to vote in leadership elections or hold leadership positions
- Youth Members are not allowed access to Discord (18+)
Youth Standard Membership: $5
- The Locals Member Keychain 2024*
- Access to Members Only section of Bums Bazaar (The Locals SG Store)
- Access to exclusive events, and meetups
- Subscription to The Locals SG Newsletter and Updates
- New Members: Generates a The Locals SG "Unique Member Number" and "Season Member Number"
- Previous Members: Preserves your The Locals SG "Season Member Number" order^
- Youth Members are not eligible to vote in leadership elections or hold leadership positions
- Youth Members are not allowed access to Discord (18+)
^This period will be open at the start of the membership renewal and will close on 03/31/2024 at which point all "Season Member Numbers" not renewed will be reset.
